Tax Credits Provide Outstanding Opportunities for More Home Buyers
The Worker, Home Ownerships, and Business Assistance Act of 2009 has extended the tax credit of up to $8000 for qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal residence. It also authorized a tax credit of up to $6500 for qualified repeat buyers who have lived in their homes for at least 5 years on homes closing on or before April 30, 2010. It is a great time to be a home buyer.
Important Notice
HUD just released Mortgagee Letter 2010-02 today which increases the FHA UFMIP fee from 1.75% to 2.25%. This increased fee will become effective on all FHA loans for which the FHA Case Number is assigned on or after April 5th, 2010.
